Wheel (Lug) Torque Range and Turns
When tightening your lug nuts after removing the wheel, be sure to fall within the general guidelines for torque and the number of turns on the lug nuts. The turns should be well within the minimum range below if you’re on a stock set-up. It is a good guide to have, however, if you will be using spacers and are wondering if extended studs are necessary.
I have found that on a stock ‘07, a 5mm spacer will still yield you approximately 8-9 turns on the stock studs/lugs.
| Stud Size | Typical Torque Range in Ft/Lbs | Minimum Number of Turns |
| 12 x 1.5 mm | 70 - 80 | 6.5 |
| 12 x 1.25 mm | 70 - 80 | 8 |
| 14 x 1.5 mm | 85 - 90 | 7.5 |
| 14 x 1.25 mm | 85 - 90 | 9 |
| 7/16 in. | 70 - 80 | 9 |
| 1/2 in. | 75 - 85 | 8 |
| 9/16 in. | 135 - 145 | 8 |
